Rangers Thrive on 22-Hit
Attack
Seven Rangers players had multiple
hits en route to a 19-7 win over the Kettering Outlaws in game 1 of a double header.
Jacob Robinson picked up his second win of the season with six innings of work,
striking out three.
Rookie right fielder Reis Pearson set a Rangers
record with three ground-rule doubles in the game. Joe Staten and Clint Wolf
could have also had homeruns in any other park, but settled for triples as each
of them hit the fence in the gaps. Steve Marshall, James Robinson and Brad
Clark (2) each added doubles. Jacob Robinson finished with three hits and four
runs scored and had his streak of reaching base safely snapped at 10 at-bats
after a groundout in the 6th inning.
Marshall had 4 RBIs and Jonmarc Lippincott and
Wolf added three apiece. Jacob, Clint, Reis, Brad, and Jared Bradley all had
three hits in the game.
