5/27/11: WEEK 7 - WHO'S HOT?
WHO'S HOT?
Heading into Week 7

| #1 - Camden Redlegs |
 |
| The Redlegs (4-1) were clinging to a 3-1 lead against the Dayton Tigers on Sunday, May 22 at AIA before lightning intervened. Ultimately, the game was suspended. The Redlegs, along with the Thunder, get the first crack at the Miami Valley Fusion over Memorial Day weekend. |
| #2 - Kettering Royals |
 |
Despite not playing for 21 days, the Royals (5-1) have quietly put together a 5-game winning streak. The Boys in Blue took a pair from the Springfield Indians last Sunday, and did it in comeback fashion. The Royals are set for a split DH this weekend at AIA, first against the Bats and then a 7-inning affair against the Shockers. |
| #3 - SD Slammers |
 |
| The Slammers (4-2) split a DH with the Rangers last weekend at Bellbrook. The Slammers jumped out to an 8-0 lead before falling late by a score of 15-10. Rick Anderson hit a grand slam, and just missed a second granny in game 2. Tyler Hogan tossed 7 innings in the 9-3 win in the second game. The Slammers are off over the Memorial Day weekend, but pick it up again on June 5th in a DH with the Thunder. |
| #4 - Dayton Rangers |
 |
| The Rangers (5-2) had a nice come-from-behind win in game one against the Slammers, as Joe Staten homered twice and Ben Schubert's grand slam helped in a 7-run rally in the final inning. Shawn Schmitt homered and picked up the win in relief, tossing 6+ innings, allowing two runs and striking out a pair. The Rangers faltered in the second game against the Slammers, losing 9-3. The Rangers face the Cardinals on Sunday, May 29 at 7pm at AIA. |
| #5 - Ohio Mariners |
 |
The Mariners (3-2) make their first appearance on the Who's Hot list on the heels of a 12-1 victory over the Dayton Blue Jays. The Mariners have won 3 of their last 4 games and have scored 50 runs over that timespan. Dan Comes got the win in his first appearance on the mound, and Chris Ranstead continued his hot hitting, launching his 4th HR of the season. The Mariners are taking the weekend off and will be back in action on June 5th in a rematch with the Rangers.
