BAY HONORED AS P.O.W.
League leader in hits gets 7 hits in DH
The Miami Valley Adult Baseball League recognized outfielder Brian Bay from the Dayton Blue Jays as the Milano's/Buffalo Wild Wings Player of the Week for May 31-June 5. In a doubleheader split with the Miami Valley Bats, Bay went 7-for-9 with four RBIs, four runs scored, three doubles and a triple. Brian, a graduate of Fairmont high school, currently leads the MVABL with 21 hits in eight games.

Cornwell is first Bats' honoree
Josh Cornwell from Muskingum Univeristy returns to the MVABL, this time as a member of the Miami Valley Bats. Cornwell made his 2011 League debut on Sunday against the Blue Jays. He helped pitch the Bats to their first win in franchise history with seven strong innings, scattering 5 hits and striking out 10. Cornwell previously was honored as Pitcher of the Week in 2009 as a member of the Beavercreek Sox.
