Rangers Knock Off ‘Stros 12-9

Rangers’ pitcher Brad Clark improved to 3-0 on the season despite scattering 13 hits over nine complete innings. Clark got plenty of offensive support, especially from the bottom of the order.

The bottom six of the batting order came in the game batting a robust .093 (7-for-75), but put together 11 hits on the evening. Catcher Brent Collinsworth singled three times and scored twice. Second baseman Jelani Arnold doubled and scored twice. Left fielder Jared Bradley had a pair of hits and scored three times to take over the team lead in that category (8). Aaron Armstrong and Gary Robinson each stroked a pair of hits, as Robinson drove in three runs. Leadoff hitter Jeremy Cunningham reached base four times with a double and a stolen base. Jonmarc Lippincott had 3 RBIs and Clint Wolf had 2 RBIs.

The Astros offense was led once again by shortstop Steve Louis who doubled twice, singled and drove in two runs.  Rob Johnson and Dustin Vincent each had 2 RBIs as well.
