Slammers' Beall earn Pitcher honors
The Miami Valley Adult Baseball League recognized outfielders Taylor Hause (left) and Matt Stiffler (right) of the Warren County Shockers as the Milano's/Buffalo Wild Wings Co-Players of the Week for July 4-July 10. In a doubleheader sweep of the Springfield Indians, they combined to go 10-for-17 with 14 RBIs. Hause, a graduate of Springboro high school, added five doubles. Stiffler, a Bellbrook graduate and a 2008 draft pick of the Cincinnati Reds, tripled and launched his league-leading ninth home run of the season.
Jeff Beall picked up the Advocare Pitcher of the Week honor. Beall tossed a 5-inning shutout over the Camden Redlegs on Sunday, July 10. Beall scattered 6 hits and struck out 8 batters on the day evening his record to 2-2 on the season.
