Heading into Week 14


#1 - Fairborn Post 526 Athletics
The Fairborn Athletics (12-3) locked up the top seed at the All-Star Standings lock and will be sending four talented players to the Game. The A's are coming off a DH shutout against the Tigers, but have a tough matchup with the Shockers on Sunday. Look for a lot of scoring in this one as both teams have a number of offensive weapons.
#2 - Miami Valley Cardinals
The Cardinals (12-3) make it up to the second spot in the Who's Hot List with a pair of wins over the Kettering Royals. The Cards are now take a franchise-best 10-game winning streak into a date with the Slammers on Sunday at Bellbrook H.S. The winner of this game could hold the upper hand at getting the top seed come playoff time.

#3 - Beavercreek Sox
The Sox (14-3) still hold the best record in the MVABL, but took a tough loss to the Ohio Mariners in a rain-shortened affair. The Sox rebounded with a 12-0 win over the Shockers, securing coach Jeff Fruhwirth's 5th straight coaching appearance in the league's All-Star Game. The Sox will play a DH on Sunday at Rotary Park against the Bats.
#4 - SD Slammers
The Slammers (12-4) put up 39 runs in a DH sweep against the Redlegs last Sunday. Kevin Ashworth homered and Cory Bohache had 6 hits on the day. The Slammers then won 10-7 over the Blue Jays on Thursday night to build a 3.5 game lead over the 4th place Mariners. The Slammers have a long day ahead of them as they play the Royals and Cardinals in a split-DH on Sunday. Both games are 9 innings.

#5 - Dayton Rangers
The Rangers (12-4) won their 6th out of their last 7 games by beating the Bats in a DH last Sunday. Luke Trubee (2-0) and Shawn Schmitt (7-1) picked up the wins. Brandon Riley, Zach Carroll, and Ben Schubert each hit HRs on the day. The Rangers travel to Springfield Northwestern in an always-tough battle with the Indians on Sunday.
