Sox Stifle Rangers 11-3
The
Rangers continue to struggle against the young Sox program, falling 11-3 on
Tuesday night.
Brad Clark
started for the Rangers and was greeted with 17 hits/balls lost in the sun over
5 innings of work. Shane Fallen struck
out two in two relief innings.
Brad Clark homered off Sox starter Wes Rehmert
in the fourth inning. Jelani Arnold, Brent Collinsworth, and Jared Bradley singled in the 5th
to produce the other two runs for the Rangers.
Lost in this disappointing
night, was a milestone Rangers achievement that went unrecognized. Who would
have thought that a catcher would be recognized for a pitching milestone? But
look no further than catcher Shane Fallen’s relief
performance on Tuesday night. Shane struck out Marcus Douthy
in the sixth inning to register the Rangers’ 2000th team strikeout!!
Offensive highlights: Brad
Clark 1-for-2 HR, BB; Jared Bradley 1-for-2 RBI.
