Royals' no-hitter earns pitching honors
The Miami Valley Adult Baseball League recognized Justin Dunlap of the South Dayton Slammers as the Milano's/Buffalo Wild Wings Player of the Week for July 25-31. Justin’s extra-inning walk-off home run lifted the Slammers to a 4-3 win over the Camden Redlegs in 8 innings. Dunlap, a graduate of Elida high school, finished with two RBIs on the night.
Royals' rookie right-hander Santel Grant tossed the third no-hitter of the MVABL season in a 5-0 win over the Dayton Tigers. Santel's performance earned him the Advocare Pitcher of the Week honor. Grant hurled 7 innings, striking out 8.
