RILEY WINS P.O.W. HONOR
Tigers hurler earns pitching honor
The Miami Valley Adult Baseball League recognized catcher David Riley of the Beavercreek Sox as the Milano's/Buffalo Wild Wings Player of the Week for August 1-7. David was 5-for-7 at the plate with a double and four RBIs in a pair of wins over the Fairborn Athletics and Kettering Royals. Riley, a graduate of Xenia high school, also plays at Defiance College.
Tigers pitcher Joe Nieman picked up the Advocare Pitcher of the Week honor as he tossed the team's first 9-inning complete game victory since TJ Lee did the same on May 8, 2010. Nieman struck out 9 batters in an 11-6 win over the Dayton Blue Jays last Sunday.
