Rangers Can’t Solve Sox, Lose
8-1
The Beavercreek Sox swept the season
series from the Dayton Rangers, winning Tuesday night 8-1.
The Rangers were struck an early blow when pitcher
Jared Bradley was nailed on a line drive comebacker
to the kneecap, which ended his night after an inning and two-thirds. Jeremy
Lippincott got the call next and got out of the second inning unscathed. The
Sox, however, pounded out five runs in the third to provide all
the cushion they needed on the night. Joe Staten, pitching for the first
time in over a year, provided two quality innings of relief, and Jelani Arnold wrapped up the pitching line with a pair of
scoreless innings.
