Rangers Finish on Winning
Note
The Dayton Rangers swept the season
series from divisional foe, the Bellbrook Reapers, winning 24-3 Sunday morning.
Jacob Robinson started on the mound for the
Rangers and went five strong innings allowing a pair of unearned runs, striking
out five. Jacob finished with a team best 3.72 ERA on the season. Jared Bradley
rebounded from a line drive off the knee last Tuesday night to pitch the final
two innings.
All eleven Rangers hitters
had at least one hit on the day, led by Clint Wolf (3-for-4, 4 runs, 6 RBI, 2
triples, double) and Jacob Robinson (4-for-5, 3 runs, RBI, SB). Clint’s triples
asserted him with the Ranger single season record of seven three-baggers. Other
offensive numbers: Gary Robinson (2-for-4, 3 runs, 2 RBI, 2BB), Jonmarc
Lippincott (2-for-5, 2 runs, 2 RBI, sac), Jared Bradley (1-for-4, run, 3RBI,
sac), Brent Collinsworth (1-for-5, run), Dave Roemerman (2-for-4, 2 runs, 3
RBI, triple), Jeremy Lippincott (2-for-5, 2 runs, 2RBI, 2SB), Aaron Armstrong
(1-for-4, run, 2RBI), Jelani Arnold (1-for-3, 3 runs, double, 2BB), James Robinson
(1-for-2, 2 runs, RBI, 3BB).
One defensive highlight
came from Jonmarc Lippincott, playing left field for the first time this
season, who took a page out of Willie Mays’ handbook to snag an
over-the-shoulder catch on a hard shot off the bat of Joel Hall in the fourth
inning.
