Rangers Take One on the Chin, Fall to Woodpeckers

The Rangers had a tough time Thursday night scoring runs, and four big innings was all the Woodpeckers needed to cruise to an easy 20-6 victory.

Four pitchers threw for the Rangers including a rare appearance by the Nomo-like, El Duque-esque Jonmarc Lippincott. Only Joe Staten was able to keep the Woodpeckers hitless and scoreless.

The Rangers got good hitting performances from Brian Robinson with 2 hits and 3 runs scored, Ethan Goetz with a pair of doubles and an RBI, and Scott Pollak who contributed with a triple and an RBI double. Clint Wolf also added an RBI double.

GAME NOTES: Ethan Goetz tied Joe Staten on the year with his 8th double.
