9/17/07: Former player/coach Tom Thygerson passes away

The MVABL mourns the loss of one of its original members, Tom Thygerson, who passed away last week at the age of 45. Tommy has played with several teams, most recently with the Dayton Angels in 2006, and was a joy to have in the league. We will miss his enthusiasm and boisterous character, as well as everything he did to keep the league thriving over all these years. The family is requesting that you do not send flowers. They are asking instead that donations be made for his two teenage sons as a children's benefit. The league will be taking a collection to help support the family.
