About the League

Thank you for your interest in the Miami Valley Adult Baseball League (MVABL)! The MVABL was established in 1995. Entering into its 28th season, the League has proven to be a staple within the Dayton community. This league was created to provide for adults 18 years old and over an alternative to softball and enable us to play the game we all grew up playing. The league consists of former and current College, Minor, and Independent League players and the average Joe who works, has a family, and misses playing America’s game. All they want to do is relive the “Glory Days” of their youth.

The league fees will be $270 per player, and will cover a 29+ game schedule, fields, baseballs, umpires, insurance, and your team's entry into our postseason tournament. The fee will not cover your uniform, which can vary in prices, depending on which team you are on.

The season usually begins the week after Easter, and runs through August, with the playoffs ending in September. However, if we have excessive rainouts, the regular season may extend into September. Each team can expect to play every Sunday as early as 10 a.m., and as late as 7 p.m. Your team will also have a few games during the week under the lights, which will be played either Tuesday or Thursday starting as early as 6:30 p.m. or as late as 8:30 p.m. Each weekend game is 9 innings and each weekday game is 7 innings.

Adult attitudes must always prevail, no matter how competitive any league is. The responsibility that this ethic sustains will remain at the responsibility of the League Commissioner and anyone who abuses the league’s code can be suspended, fined, or expelled from the league.

Come and Play in the dirt again!!!

If you are interested in joining the league as a coach or player, please contact the league board below for more information.
