Schulke became the first player in the Scouts' young history to win MVP honors. The fifth-year player had a breakout season in 2022, compiling hits, runs, and RBIs that exceeded his previous 2 years combined. His 41 hits was tops in the league and tied Ryan MacFarlane's franchise record set last season. Alex squeaked out the MVABL batting title by one point with a .519 average. Schulke had 8 games with at least 3 hits and finished with 23 RBIs, good enough for 5th most in the league. Not only was Alex efficient offensively, but he was very solid on the mound as well. Schulke went 3-0 as a pitcher, striking out 28 over 26 1/3 innings. His 1.03 ERA was second lowest in the league and set a franchise record.
