Dan received 4 first place votes en route to his first Cy Young award honor. Comes went 6-4 with a 4.16 ERA on the season with a league-high 75 2/3 innings pitched and 7 complete games. His knack for keeping opposing batters off-balanced helped by racking up 53 strikeouts, fourth-highest in the league this season. After stints with the Mariners and Cardinals over his first four seasons, Comes has appeared to settle in with the Slammers with back-to-back six-win campaigns and sports a 26-10 career record through the 2016 season.
