Kyle became the first player in league history to ever come through the MVABL Draft to win the Most Valuable Player award. The 2013 Redlegs draft pick set career highs in hits (41) while leading the league in that category. His .477 batting average was also a new high as he finished fourth in the league for the batting title. Kyle had the second-most stolen bases (15) and was in the top 7 in all offensive categories. Arend played in all 24 games and had a hit in all but two of those games, putting together multiple double-digit hit streaks during the season. He is the first Redlegs player to win the MVP award.
