Koogler becomes the first Kettering Royals player to win the Most Valuable Player award. He follows last year's winner (Kyle Arend) as being the only players ever to come through the draft (2009) and be chosen as the MVP. Koogler put up career numbers for the Royals. He just missed out on the batting title with a .487 average and set personal bests in hits (39), RBIs (27) and doubles (15). Evan reached several milestones this season, including 250 hits, 150 RBIs, and 50 doubles as a hitter, and 250 IP and 300 Ks as a pitcher. No player in league history has reached all 5 of these statistical benchmarks in his career.
