Among the 72 qualifying rookies, Colin beat out a solid core of newcomers this season and became the first Boars player to win ROY. Things looked bright early for Minner, as he belted long balls in both ends of a split DH on Opening Day. Minner batted .455, fourth amongst all rookies with at least 50 plate appearances. Colin led the league with 32 RBIs and led his team with 2 home runs. He also had a 5-hit game this season and twice drove in 6 RBIs in a game.
