Cooper Harestad became the first ROY winner to come out of the league's waiver-wire process. Plucked off the wire in mid-June, the Vandalia Butler product had a 2-run double in his MVABL debut and finished off with a home run in his final regular season game. Among the 33 qualifying rookies, Harestad batted .442, third amongst all rookies with at least 40 at-bats. Cooper led all first-timers with 20 RBIs, including 8 in the final doubleheader of the year.
