Pederson is the first Rangers MVP since Clint Wolf in 2007. The oldest MVP in league history at age 44, Rob proved that age is just a number, posting career highs in all offensive categories. Pederson, plucked off the league waiver wire in 2017, led the league with 7 home runs and 42 RBIs (a franchise single-season record). He had a string of 9 straight multi-RBI contests. As the first player in league history to win the league MVP and All-Star Game MVP in the same season, he batted .444 and added 10 doubles and 32 runs scored to his stat sheet. Rob did most of his damage in the month of June against the top 4 teams in the league standings, going 12-for-25 at the plate with 6 HRs and 18 RBIs in 7 games.
