Cody was the Redlegs first round selection in the 2021 MVABL Draft and batted .341 over 18 games. The third-overall pick led all draft pick selections in hits (14), runs (11), RBIs (7), and stolen bases (4). His best game of the season came in a 3-for-3 performance with a double and an RBI on August 1 in a win against the Machine.
