Southern Ohio Stars Defeats Camden Redlegs Despite Allowing 4-Run Inning

Stars collected seven hits and Camden Redlegs had eight in the high-scoring affair.

Southern Ohio Stars weathered a push by Camden Redlegs in the seventh inning where Southern Ohio Stars coughed up four runs, but Southern Ohio Stars still won 9-6 on Sunday.  Camden Redlegs offense in the inning was led by #7, #11, and #9, all driving in runs in the inning.

Southern Ohio Stars opened up scoring in the second inning.  Nicholas Antonides's sac fly scored one run for Stars.

Stars scored five runs in the fourth inning.  Stars offense in the inning was led by Nathan Pfeiffer, Carter Lane, Antonides, and Alan Dotson, all knocking in runs in the inning.

Jackson Lightcap earned the victory on the hill for Stars. The hurler surrendered six runs on seven hits over six and a third innings, striking out 12 and walking one.  Nick Lyle threw two-thirds of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.  Lyle recorded the last two outs to earn the save for Southern Ohio Stars.

#5 took the loss for Camden Redlegs. The bulldog allowed two hits and one run over three innings, striking out two.

Camden Redlegs totaled eight hits in the game.  #11 and #33 each managed multiple hits for Camden Redlegs.  Camden Redlegs didn't commit a single error in the field. #9 had the most chances in the field with five.
