Day Air Ball Park, Tuesday night The MVABL All Star Game. The skies parted late Tuesday afternoon as the MVABL held its annual All-Star Game.  The visitors from Team Reardon -vs- Team Anderson.

1st inning action Jeff Beall from the Slammers was on the mound, Jacob Robinson of the Redleg’s,  hit a single, followed by Ryan Griffis from the Boars who followed with a single, Alex Shulke from the Scouts ground into a double play Forcing Griffis at 2nd from the 4 to 6 to 3, allowing Robinson to advance to 3rd. Jimmy Herold of the Boars, grounded out to end the top of the 1st. Team Anderson squared off on the Machine’s Andrew Madlinger,  Jesse Jones of the Redleg’s  hit a single, and stole 2nd. Daniel Barhorst from the Slammers reached on an error, and he stole 2nd when Jones stole 3rd. Kyle Markle from the Slammers hit a 2 RBI single, and Team Anderson was up 2 to 0. The Rangers Rob Pederson popped up to the infield. Markle stole 2nd, and Markus Hall from the Boars popped out to center and Ryan Griffis threw in behind Markle picking him off

2nd inning for Team Reardon, Cooper Nolte of the Rangers grounded to Hall at 3rd, Beall Struck Antonides from the Stars out. And the Machines Jake Banks flew out to the outfield. In came Team Anderson to bat. Jason Combs of the Boars popped out to center that Ryan Griffis ran down. John Rosenmayer of the Beavercreek Orioles lined a single and moved up to 2nd on a SB. Anthony Turner DH from the Knights struck out, and Parker Liston grounded back to Beall who tossed it to 1st.

3rd inning, Noah Baer from the Orioles came on to pitch, striking out Cameron Gordon of the Dodgers, and after a BB to the Machines Joel Turner brought the top of the order up, Jacob Robinson was HBP, and Ryan Griffis would bring Turner to 3rd by reaching on an error. Schulke had a fly out. Herold collected an RBI for a single up the middle. Cooper Nolte hit a single that brought home Robinson and the speedy Griffis, and Team Readon had claimed the lead. The top of the order was up for Team Anderson as well, Jones flew out to center. Daniel Barhorst was out #2 and Rob Pederson grounded to Antonides at 3rd who threw it to Harold for the out. Readon was up 3 to 2.

4th inning, Banks popped out to the Knights Parker Liston who went through the screen to catch it. And after a BB to Gordon, Joel Turner hit a pop up snagged for the 2nd out by Liston. Robinson hit another single. But the Robinson Griffis tag team ended as Griffis popped out. Brent Cox came on in relief, Kyle Markle flew out, leaving Markus Hall to face his teammate, Cox Walked Hall, but struck out Combs and Rosenmayer to end the inning.

5th inning, Rangers Brendon Saylor was on the mound, Alex Schulke grounded out to 2nd. Saylor got a K on Herold. Saylor snagged a bare hand ground ball and flipped to 1st for the 3rd out. Cox struck out Turner, but an Error allowed Parker Liston aboard. Jones reached on a F/C. Ezra Dietering of the Orioles grounded to 2nd for the 3rd out.

6th inning subs started rolling in and out. Mike Hartman of the Redleg’s got his single of the game. Aaron Christy of the Scouts took a K, as did Zac Gomia of the Knights. Turner hit a ball 1st snagged by Pederson for the out. Kyle Markle was hit by a pitch, Todd Barhorst of the Slammers struck out. Mike Warden of the Slammers reached on a dropped 3rd strike that Herold thought was a foul tip. Cox then struck out Noah Baer and Matt Dies of the Dodgers to end the inning still 3 to 2

7th inning Kyle Moyer of the Rangers was up and led off with a double, Ryan Griffis followed suit with a RBI single, Danny Vaught of the Machine reached on F/C. Josh Cvetkovich launched a deep ball to the gap for an RBI double and team Reardon was up 5 to 2. Cvetkovich moved to 3rd on Mike Hartman single and Aaron Christy loaded the bases when he was HBP. Gomia struck out to end the threat.  In the 7th Matt Seibert of the Boars sent a ball to left field that Kyle Moyer was tracking. A strike out by Daniel Barhorst for out #2, and Moyer again was waiting on a fly ball for out #3.

8th inning and Brent Cox was hitting facing Markus Hall both from the Boars. Hall got Cox to ground out to Matt Seibert at Short. Matt Seibert took all 3 as Moyer and Griffis both grounded out to the Boars SS. Home half of the 8th, Markle was walked, Todd Barhorst reached on a F/C Mike Warden reached on a single. But a long fly ball to right that Zac Gomia ran into the deep corner into no man's land snagged the ball as the runners moved up. A strike out by Noah Baer.

9th inning all or nothing as Team Reardon was leading. Danny Vaught was victim to a strike out. Cvetkovich launched a second gapper it was covered quickly by Daniel Barhorst but Cvetkovich was again aboard, Cvetkovich would score on Brennan Arnolds triple, Arnold would score on a Mike Hartman RBI ground out. But Team Reardon had increased its lead to 7 to 2. Aaron Christy came on to close. He issued a BB to Matt Dies, Seibert would get a single as Dies moved to 3rd Dies would score on a sac fly by Daniel Barhorst to center making it 7 to 3. Ezra Dietring would fly out to left to end the game.

Josh Cvetkovich of the Xenia Scouts Takes Offensive Player of the Game 2 for 2, a Double, 2RBIs, 1 run scored.
