The Redlegs finally got into the win column on Sunday with a 14-2 run rule victory over the Southern Ohio Stars.  Eric Jameson surpassed 300 career hits, moving him into 14th place on the MVABL all-time hit list.  Jacob Robinson became the first player in league history to score 500 runs.

Camden grabbed the early lead in the bottom of the 2nd when Joey Watson reached on an error followed by a base hit by Evan KooglerJames Robinson then played perfect small ball by delivering a ground ball out to 2nd base scoring the first run before Cody Saraco-Polner singled in another.  Cody later scored on a throwing error.

The Stars then took advantage of a Redleg error that scored a pair of runs to close the gap, cutting the lead to 1 run.

Camden however would never relinquish the lead, and piled on 11 more runs over the next 5 frames.  Schooler, meanwhile, allowed only 3 more baserunners the rest of the way.

Eric Jameson and Cody Saraco-Polner paced the offense by both contributing 2 hits and an RBI, Cody also stole his first base of the season.  Kyle Arend added a base hit, while Evan Koogler and Jacob Robinson each added a hit and stole a base.  Robinson’s hit extended his team high hit streak to 9 games.

Next up for the Redlegs (1-2) is the Wild Boars (4-0) in a matchup at Howell Field on Sunday, April 30th at 1:00pm.
