Machine:9  Knights: 5

The Mad River Machine won their second game of the 2016 season this week, besting a solid Wright Knights team 9 to 5. The Machine jumped out to a quick start led by a McGill single, a Beyerle drag bunt, and a P.Wilson walk in the top of the first. However, with the bases loaded and no outs, the Machine were only able to get 1 run via an RBI by Sullivan. The Machine picked up 2 more in the second with a Clark leadoff walk and Montoya single, both driven in by Sokowoski. Clark also led of the 4th inning with a single and eventually scored on a Sokowoski RBI single. The Machine tacked on one more run in the 5th (Beyerle scored McGill) and 4 more in the 6th (Lesher drove in 1 with a sac fly and Bundy 2 with a 2 RBI single). Paul Wilson earned the win on the mound tossing 6 innings giving up 2 runs (both unearned) and striking out 6. Bundy and Clark shut door pitching 2 innings and 1 inning, respectively, each striking out 1.
