Knights tame Tigers 12 to 6

The Wright Knights and Dayton Tigers squared off at Gastineau Field Thursday evening. The Tigers went down in order in the top of the first.  The Knights scored first, tallying 2 runs in the bottom of the inning when third baseman Anthony Turner reached base on an error with 2 outs.  Next batter Jordan Ogle tripled on a ball over the left fielder's head, scoring Turner.  Ogle scored on a single by catcher Parker Liston. 

The Tigers got on the board in the top of the third inning when they batted around.  Using 3 hits, and 2 walks and a Knights error,  they plated 6 runs.  Brock and Gage Kitchens each doubled and Brad Marsh singled in the inning.  Those would be the only runs the Tigers would score in the game.  

Down 6-2 in the bottom of the third the Knights bounced back with7 runs in the frame .Matt Fryman, Anthony Turner, and Troy Philo each registered singles in the inning and Anthony Jackson doubled.  The Knights added to their lead in the bottom of the fourth when Matt Fryman singled and Anthony Turner walked. They were able to advance on several passed balls.  Fryman scored on a passed ball and Turner scored on a single by Parker Liston.  The Knights scored their 12th and final run in the fifth.  A base hit by Brandon Rexin and 2 more passed balls advanced Rexin to third base.  He was brought home in by Troy Philo   

Matt Fryman led the Knights with 2 hits while Anthony Turner and Parker Liston each had 2 RBI's  Turner also scored 3 runs.  Tyler Philo was the winning pitcher Jordan Ogle and Kyle Evans also pitched scoreless innings for the Knights while Carlos Grabeman took the loss for the Tigers.
