Carlisle High School, Carlisle Ohio August 4th,

As the season starts winding down toward the end, Sid Srinivasan returned from his apprenticeship to re-join the Boars as they head to the playoffs. Standing in the way on this Sunday was the Mad River Machine visiting the 2nd place Boars.

The Machine threatened early as a BB, and a Double from Paul Wilson, sandwiched between the 1st strikeout of the game.Put runners at 2nd and 3rd. But a quick fly out to Colin Minner at 2nd and another K,  held the Machine scoreless.

The Boars threatened with 2 runners of their own after Jimmy Herold, the boars catcher, and a single by J.R. Nixon moved runners into scoring position, with the ever dangerous Sully Minner at the plate, an unusual strikeout looking, ended the Boars threat after 1 inning.

The 2nd and 3rd innings turned out to be more of a pitching match Srinvasan picked up his 3rd strikout of the day to end it after Matt Seibert the Boars shortstop and Jacob Greve the Boars 3rd baseman, recorded assist on the first 2 outs in the 2nd.

The Boars went the same way a base hit by Brandon Lucas, and Colin Minner hit into a double play. Jacob Greve laced a single but Jacob Cooper hit into the 5-3. The 3rd was scoreless as well for both teams.

Srinivasan, dubbed the scarecrow by his teammates, picked up his 4th, and 5th, strikeouts and induced a flyball to Lucas in right. to start the 5th. The Boars went back to offense. Seibert led off again with a single, and Nixon walked again and after 2 Strikeouts the Boars were helped by a few walks and a couple wild pitches which allowed the Boars to add 3 more runs and increase the lead to 8 to the Machine's 0.

The Machine came up in the 6th and after Sully Minner recorded the first out on a sharp grounder to first, Paul Wilson hit a single but left before Srinivasan had gone home and he was able to get him in a 1-3-4-1 pick off and run down taking the tag himself. He then recorded the 6th strikeout of the game.

The Boars added 5 more runs in the 6th, Jimmy Herold singled Matt Seibert, walked and this time both were driven in by J.R. Nixon, with his 2nd single along  with 2 RBI's.  S Minner walked and the elder Minner was again driven home by the younger Minner in  with a single. Both Nixon and Minner were brought home by Jacob Greve on his 2nd single in the game with 2 RBI's. The Boars lead was 13 to 0 and that's exactly how it finished after Srinivasan picked up his 7th K in the 7th.
